There are many great locations for Key West family photography. Each of our beaches has its own unique character and there are several other locations that are popular if you'd like a setting that showcases Key West in another way. If you're not sure where you'd like to have your family photography session we can help you decide.
Smathers Beach
Smathers Beach has soft sand, palm trees, dune grasses, walkways to the beach and epic sunset photography on a rock jetty.
Higgs Beach
Higgs Beach has a variety of settings for Key West family photography. There are two piers, a rocky shoreline, West Martello Fort and a beach all in this area.
Truman Annex
Truman Annex has lush and colorful flora, white picket fences, historic architecture and palm tree lined roads.
Historic Seaport
The most well known location in the Historic Seaport area of Old Town is the Key West postcard wall.
Fort Zachary Taylor
Historic Fort Zachary Taylor State Park has a wide variety of settings with a fort, nature trails, beach, palm trees and gorgeous sunsets.

What to Expect
The professional family portrait process
Many clients wonder what they should expect when they hire a professional photographer. This helpful timeline will guide you through each step of the process so you can feel relaxed and comfortable on the day of the session.
Before
First, I’ll send you a photography agreement and a questionnaire so we get to know you and your family better. We will learn about your personalities, interests, and your goals for the session. If you haven’t had the chance to take family photos before or if you’re uncertain which location you’d like, I will certainly help with ideas!
The Day Of
On the day of the session, we’ll meet at the location and let the fun begin. It's important for you and your family to be yourselves so your personalities and connections will show. A fun and relaxing session results in great portraits you can treasure for a lifetime.
1 - 2 Weeks After
Sneak peek images may be posted to social media or our blog for your family and friends to view.
3 - 4 Weeks After
After the photographs have been taken and each image has been edited, you’ll be able to log into your online gallery to view the photos from your session. We will then confirm a phone meeting or an in person consult to place image, print and album orders. I’ll do my part to make placing your order a fun and easy experience so you’ll have your Key West memories in your hands and on your walls as quickly as possible.
