Some things are destined to be and Laura and Mike meeting each other is one of those things. Laura and Mike grew up in neighboring towns and were always just a couple of degrees of separation apart. Laura's mom worked with Mike's dad, but that wasn't the connection that brought them together. They also had mutual friends and it was through them that they met. They immediately became best friends and their relationship grew until they were engaged three years later. Family is important to them so they celebrated their marriage with a big, beautiful wedding full of family and friends. Throughout their marriage they have been each others' rocks and biggest supporters which served to strengthen their friendship and respect for one another. They adopted two children and always remained very close to their families.
Their love of Key West first began when they visited for a day as part of a cruise. They came back as a couple to Key West for their tenth and fifteenth anniversaries, enjoying the island and celebrating their marriage milestones at their own pace. This time, however, for their 25th anniversary, they wanted to share their love of the island with their family and closest friends and have their children play a large role in the celebration. They chose to have a Key West vow renewal ceremony at the beautiful Reach Resort's pier and gazebo with a reception on the lawn. Their children were the best man and maid of honor and later delivered speeches to commemorate the occasion. It was a beautiful Key West evening for this family to celebrate a precious milestone.
We wish the best to Laura, Mike and their children!
