It was a beautiful, warm November day in Key West for Shannon and Marc's wedding. The breeze was fresh, the sun was out and the sky was blue and dotted with puffy tropical clouds. It was the perfect day for a wedding at Smathers Beach and reception on a Sunset Watersports sailing catamaran.
Shannon and Marc got ready separately and then came together for a first look outside The Marker Resort near the Key West Historic Seaport. Marc, dressed in beige linen pants and a white linen shirt adorned with a yellow boutonniere, waited with anticipation until Shannon stepped up behind him and tapped his shoulder. When he turned around, he saw his beautiful bride in her elegant white wedding dress. As they got their first look of each other on their wedding day, they had beaming smiles and joyful expressions. Their first look was a segue into portraits in the area nearby the hotel.
At Smathers Beach, their family and friends took up their seats for the wedding ceremony. The bride, groom, parents and wedding party were lined up at the nearest beach entrance, waiting for the moment to begin their procession. First the groom, accompanied by his mother and son, made his way to the wedding arch. The bridesmaids and groomsmen followed. Finally, it was time for Shannon to be escorted by her father. Once at the arch, her father first hugged her, then hugged Marc and then took his seat among all of the guests. Vows were said, rings were placed and a kiss marked the beginning of Mr. and Mrs.
The Key West Trolley took everyone back to the seaport where they boarded Sandy Cat, a catamaran operated by Sunset Watersports. Food, music, dancing and fun filled the evening as the boat plied the waters just off Key West. Clouds had filled more of the sky during the afternoon and evening, but the sun managed to find a break in the clouds to create a gorgeous sunset that had a combination of yellows and oranges with distant rain falling underneath dark blue clouds.
